Pirate it was through the goodwill of my IT specialist (read Wife) that I managed to get this done, don't know what the cost is yet but I'm sure she will let me know when the time is right !! |

I put up a Picasaweb album here I like the mapping part of it. Click on a picture, then look over to the right and click "view album map" and it will show a map with all the photos arrayed where they were taken. You can then select an individual photo from the frame to the left of the map, and that one will spring up where it was taken. Neat technology! |

Pirate, ElementAI, the wind rider is as easy to sail as the AI, takes twice as long to set up tho and the 25' mast can be tricky to step on your own in a good breeze.she's a little faster (85sq ft sail area) at 250 lbs its no where near as convenienant for a quick sail fix. In sloppy seas you get just as wet and without scuppers you sit in a bathtub (12 volt bilge pump solves problem plus windshield now installed) and then the main thing, if the wind dies 4 miles from put in where's the mirage drive ?? but Ido enjoy the 500 lb capacity with wife or friends. Tom that is a neat site how long does it take to set all that up ? mm |

Hi all! As we travel all over this great country, we have found our kayaking to be the most rewarding and spectacular of all our adventures. I posted some select pics of our kayaking in the Rockies, Maine, and the Grand Tetons. I made two videos (links below) to try to convey the peacefulness and beauty of kayaking. We are looking forward to continuing our travels with our new AI and Outback. I hope to meet some of you and go out on some great kayaking trips in the future. Looks like a perfect AI location. Thanks for posting. Jerry, Very impressive pics and videos. 
I'm interested to know why you went with an Outback and AI instead of two AI's? The advantages of two AI's are that you also have two Adventure's that are more suited for the kind of trips as seen in your magnificent pics. |

I think what took longest was locating all my kayaking pics scattered around my computer and deciding which ones to use. Once you have some pictures, it's all pretty easy. Upload them, caption them if desired, and drop them on the map. Once you figure it out, you can create an album like mine in under an hour with no trouble. You can also upload some videos to the site, but I use youtube for those. |

Beatiful images and videos MrMiagi. The Albinoni is a nice touch. I've got to agree with you (and Stringy) - the AI is a great buzz sailing in a good wind on open water, but a quiet paddle in a mountain stream is hard to beat as well. Its great that the AI is such a good kayak in Adventure mode, even without the pedal drive. Chris |

The AI is primarily for me and the Outback is more for the girlfriend. I had originally intended for her to have a sport due to it's compactness and ease of use which is what she wants in a kayak. I eventually decided on an Outback for it's stability and versatility. I purchased the sail kit and the sidekicks for when she wants to sail. I just didn't see her getting heavily involved in the sailing aspect, unlike me as I love to sail! So, in reality, I have the best of all worlds at my disposal, a great sailing rig as well as a very stable and versatile fishing rig. She will be much happier with her Outback in the swells than she was with our previous tippy ocean kayaks. Jerry www.adventurehighway.net |

My neck of the woods is Bairnsdale, with Paynesville on the Gippsland Lakes being 15ks south and plenty of launching choices. I intend to upgrade my camera but this time have taken a couple using my phone when I sailed yesterday. Incidentally it was a nice day out but not outstanding other than I visited Mickey who is holidaying with his wife (Minnie) on their houseboat out there. Getting busy now with lots of boat traffic which brings the lakes to life. Paynesville is a village of a couple of thousand people, has a ferry to get people and cars across to Raymond Island, and is a mixture of the old fishing port with the new canals and homes that have shot up in the last 10 years. .jpg)
