Just a quicky, I'm wondering if AI kayaks can become brittle in the cold? ''freezing cold' I'm a bit worried about strapping my yak down to the roof bars in the current temps we are having at the moment here in the UK, it's very cold here in the mornings often down to -6c

Possible that you could crack a frozen plastic I'd guess... not really sure as it NEVER gets that cold here in Southern California!

We've had ICE on the yak every morning, hard to drag them by the road with ice on the handle.

"here" in Southern California... is Oceanside. I have seen ice / frost just a couple of times in 30 years on the coldest days. We are within miles of the Pacific which moderates the temps. Yes, we do have frigid cold places in California though! Lots of Mountains.
