| Post subject: | Maiden Voyage |
Maiden voyage plus two more on my new Tandem Island in the last three days.... What a great boat! Six hours of sailing time in November here in the Great Northeast, talk about lucky! Wasn't sure I would be able to get to sail this season but the weather gods cooperated and I had two days of light air to get familiar with the boat and today wind was up to about 10+ so had a great ride. The only casualty was loosing the two short battens.... actually watched the second one go bye bye. I had just used the cleat to hold them as the assembly directions showed and meant to go back and put knots at the cleat but forgot. Oh well, a small price to pay for the ride today. Have learned lots from all the talent on this forum and hope to contribute when I can. Rich |
