| Post subject: | Mystic & RI—where to ramp launch/park? |
Hi, I'm hoping some here may be familiar with the area of the Mystic River by the seaport, and also Narragansett Bay around Rose Island lighthouse. I'd like to do a long weekend and sail my TI in Mystic for the day, and then Narragansett the next. I trailer & launch from boat ramps—can't carry it, and also need a place to park the trailer & park the boat & trailer overnight if I don't find a place to stay that I can park it at. So maybe a marina in RI after the day sail in Mystic? Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can launch & park the trailer in Mystic, and also in RI near Newport (not so close as to be in the busiest areas of the bay by Newport)? I've spent a lot of years looking at these two spots from land, want to get out there with my TI now! Thank you, |
