(This post was accidentally submitted in the Hobie Cat forum, so I hope I am in the right place now...) Can anyone advise as to the better spots for putting in my Hobie mirage adventure Island here in N.E. Fla? I'm a long time Jacksonville resident but haven't sailed here in my hometown yet, and I've only had the boat out once (near Tampa). I don't want to fight a bad current, want good wind and water depth in a low traffic area of the river or a local lake. I was thinking about Green Cove Springs, or the St. John's near Exchange club island or Goat Island, possibly....maybe St. Augustine if there's not any dangers involved. Recommendations? Thanks in advance. |

Wish I could offer some recommendations. The closest I've come to there are a couple of trips down the St. Mary's. I do pretty much all my kayak camping in the ten thousand islands between Dec and Apr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Myself, if I were in Jacksonville, I would be looking to sail on the ocean. Certainly less boat traffic to worry about compared to sailing on the St John's or St Mary's River. Keith |
