Hi all,

I am going to look at a used Adventure Island (single) tomorrow and am hoping to get some direction from the forum community in terms of things to look for concerning the quality of the boat. Obvious things, such as:

1) Condition of the hulls (void of holes, cracks, scratches, etc.)

2) Condition of sail and trampoline (void of holes, tears, etc.)

I can imagine. A few questions for you all:

1) Anything I should check that would not be readily obvious to a newcomer?
2) Any components that typically wear (that are also expensive to replace)?
3) Any components that are often replaced with lower quality after market parts?
4) Any parts that are potentially missing that are not obvious?

Other suggestions are appreciated too.

Best,

Dan

May be too late to matter but after 3-4 months looking Craig’s list entire US,
I found a 2017 adventure island with trampolines, 180 mirage, big fat Ezee tire cart for $4,300
Vantage seat is comfortable
After doing the research for 1/3 year knew what wanted and such
It looked good in ads and pictures

I just sold my TMI last week. Some beach rash is normal. I sailed my 2017 99% of the time in Lake Michigan, which has nice sand beaches, so beach rash is unavoidable. That's not a bad price for an AI.
