Great Vid. This is the first video i have seen where someone is releasing and adjusting the sail in the video. Good tunes too.

I wonder what he did to the lens? RainX or something, I guess? No water on it, even when he dunks the camera completely. No water spots at all. Makes me want a waterproof video camera! I have been afraid to bring out my camera during some of the most exciting AI sailing I have done. |

T Ray, Didn't even notice that.. but you're right and that sort gives it a surreal texture. BTW, I really liked your videos with the two AI's in Ike's precursor winds. I have a Pentax Optio which I occassionally dunk it under for a quick lookee-see. Maybe I'll try some Rainex on it because the droplets do stick on the lens. Also in case anyone's interested, I just looked up the lyrics of the Chris Cross song, SAILING, because I never could make out all the words even though back in the day it got millions of radio plays, But now that I've got something to sail I can kind of relate to the lyrics even though the song sounds a tad gay, it works well with the video (so does the metal music at the end): It's not far down to paradise At least it's not for me And if the wind is right you can sail away And find tranquility The canvas can do miracles Just you wait and see Believe me It's not far to never never land No reason to pretend And if the wind is right you can find the joy Of innocence again The canvas can do miracles Just you wait and see Believe me Sailing Takes me away To where I've always heard it could be Just a dream and the wind to carry me And soon I will be free Fantasy It gets the best of me When I'm sailing All caught up in the reverie Every word is a symphony Won't you believe me It's not far back to sanity At least it's not for me And when the wind is right you can sail away And find serenity The canvas can do miracles Just you wait and see Believe me |
