I've seen a couple of posts here specifically about Lake Erie/Great Lakes, but would like to talk to some folks regarding their more detailed experience. Thanks......I'm enjoying this forum immensely and your comments thus far are pushing me dangerously towards separating me from some serious coin. |

Hi deacm, and welcome aboard! Where on Lake Erie will you be sailing out of? Because I currently live in Virginia, near Washington, DC, I currently do the majority of my AI sailing in the Annapolis, MD area. However, since I grew up sailing on Lake Erie, and consider it an awesome sailing location, I usually take the boats up to Erie, PA a couple times each summer. I've had the AI out on the lake a number of times, and she's never disappointed me. Six ft waves in 15-20kt winds was a wet ride (the AI usually is a wet ride), but it sure was fun! Thanks, Jim. Let me know next time you're up. I'm in Erie, PA with a boat based at Erie Yacht club. You by chance weren't the guy that had TWO AI's at the Erie Yacht Club for awhile this summer were you? |
