MATT – I’m finalizing plans for Tandem Island purchase. Please help me discover a couple of things - On the Information released for the TI the following was w/o detail. Options: >> Aluminum Trailer You said: In the 2007 Forums: "We are also working on a trailer system to hold a boat assembled. Fiberglass molded bunks to hold the hull and amas folded in. You will be able to carry one or two side-by-side. These items will be announced when ready for dealers.” I would like to purchase a trailer on which the TI could effectively be stored; is this a realistic hope? |

Yes, We will have a trailer available or the TI and the cradles. |

Matt Along the same topic of transporting the tandem AI. Will we have to do anything special to the Hobie cart to use it on the tandem to not risk hull distortion or damage? (Due to weight distribution of 190lbs on the cart) I have the heavy duty tires and roll a fully assembled Island to the water all the time on the Hobie cart - EZ-PZ. I did notice the tandem appeared to have 2 sets of scupper holes - I DO have 2 Hobie Carts - would we be able to use 2 carts at once? Trying to avoid having the tandem be a "trailer to the water" only type of craft. Thanks PS - I talked to local dealers to let them know of my interest so that they would consider ordering in one if/when they become available. |

Yakaholic, How about some sort of swivel wheel like on regular trailer for the front cart?...that would give great control of the AIT... |

Yes, two scupper cart positions. The forward set is best balanced. You "could" use both. Using the current cart with the provided cart clamp bushings is all that is needed to prevent a dent in the hull. |
