Hi to whole community. I'm Antonio and I live in Cagliari (Sardinia-Italy) I am a holder of a PA, and in April i get an AI. In Italy no fish with an AI, I've seen videos of Yakabout, and i could see visually quality of the techniques of AI and its Commander, and i decided to buy it without actually having ever tried or seen live. Beforehand on Austin Kayak I have buy so many accessories (Island Trampoline Set, Cardle Set 1 for AI and 1 for the PA) in Italy to be difficult to have them soon! I have to ask you a question and i thank you in advance for the answers: I dont never sail,to be very easy to use AI ? Thanks. Sorry for my English. |

Great to have you aboard MR.SPIRRITTU. I took a mate of mine, who has never sailed before, out the other day for a sail and within 10 minutes I jumped off the back and left him to it. Easy to sail. It's basically common sense. The first sail you do it's best to pick a light day say, 10 knot winds. Later you can build up to stronger winds and bigger seas. This will take away the extra concentration that you need in the big stuff. Also launch if possible where it is fairly sandy or no sharp rocks. The last thing you need to do is damage your brand new AI by forgetting to lift your drive or rudder. You will love it mate. We are all looking forward to photos from Italy. |

Greetings and what a great place to sail and fish. The one technique I found the most helpful was to make the sail area smaller as the wind get stronger (reefing), makes sailing much easier Good Luck and have fun |

Ciao MR.SPIRRITTU I bought an AI last summer, I had never sailed before, and I was a little worried. From my first trip out I knew I would be ok, once you understand the basics of sailing it will only get easier and more fun, I am really enjoying sailing...... |
