My dealer says he cannot get any real information from Hobie. I am told that "Hobie" says they will get here when they get here. It would be nice to get a more detailed response from Hobie so the dealers can inform their customers like me. I have been told 2 weeks for like 3 months now. Getting a bit old. Just want some real information. Matt, what is the status of TIs shipping - are more being shipped now? Have any been shipped to Texas dealers? Ready to go sailing.... |

My local dealer in northern Virginia has already received his first batch of 12 (or was it 10?) and said he expects his second batch to ship sometime next week, with arrival here sometime during the week of the 14th. The one we picked up today was initially ordered by someone else from the first batch that backed out of the deal. |

I ordered a TI three weeks ago (first to be delivered to OK) and was told that it would be delivered in late June. Today I was told that it may not make the truck as the truck is filling up and the TI isn't manufactured yet. So, it will have to go on the next truck. Additionally, they said that the frequency of trucks coming through OK is low. Apparently most of the trucks heading East take a more southern route through TX to hit the gulf states where demand for these boats is higher. It's going to be a long summer until I can get on the water. Mark |

I would be a little happier if I could get some kind of straight answer. Is it 2 weeks or 4 or what? I want to go sailing before winter!!! |

Good problem for us... bad for everyone else. We are way over-sold on the TI. Scrambling to keep up. I don't have any details on specific shipping issues. That's not my thing. Stay in contact with the dealer. I'm sure they are in touch with our sales department. |

Mark, Where are you in TX? I may need to come take a ride on your TI when you get it to help me get over TI Fever, although, that additional exposure may make it worse. I live in OK now, but I'm a native Texan from Wichita Falls and also lived in Houston for 5 years. |

We need our TI's soon. ![]() Hobie, how about creating a new manufacturing plant in the middle of the country (Oklahoma) to help keep up with that heavy TI demand and cut down shipping cost and shipping time. Labor is inexpensive, real estate is cheap and there is lots of water here (believe it or not). The tourist bureau says there is more shoreline in OK than any other state. Oklahoma City was also just named the official Olympic Training Camp for paddle/rowing sports. There is also a port in OK with direct access to the Gulf for international shipping. Let's get this idea moving. I'll be glad to help run the new operation for you. |

Mark. Central Texas, north of SA. Come on down (after I really have it). Lets hope it makes it here in less than 2 weeks. Hope yours also comes soon. Mark. |

I think they must be counting the shoreline of rivers too. There are a lot of rivers here. Many nice lakes too with clear water (no clear water in Oklahoma City lakes due to the red dirt here). The eastern half of OK does have quite a bit of water. Believe it or not, it's beautiful over there. |

They are counting all the stock tanks (the small lakes farmers build to hold water for their cattle). That has to be it because there are probably a million of them in OK. ![]() |
