Post subject: | furling unit loosened from the mast |
Hello My name is Kaare and I am living in Oslo, Norway. I bought the 2010 AI in June, and I am experiencing some problems. The furling unit in the mast is glued. The unit has slipped, and are now lose. The additive used does not attach itself to the plastic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFk5gQ-o14s and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QhwXOZGH_g You may say that I applied too much tension between the sail and the furling unit, but I am of the opinion that I applied normal tension in the rope. Never the less, when I removed the furling unit entirely, it became obvious that the gluing process is inaccurate for the purpose. I will contact the local dealer for advice, but I consider this also relevant production within Hobie co. Best regards Kaare |
