I would like to wire and install a Hobie eVolve Motor on my Tandem Island. What Mirage drive location -- front or aft – is best to locate and run the motor ? |

Not sure if this will help. But on a motorized fishing canoe build a while back, we had the option to mount a motor on the aka's or stern. It ended up being better mounted on the stern and related it to the debate regarding front wheel vs rear wheel drive cars. Your drive is more effiecient if it pushes rather than pulling. Just some two bits... c2y |

I don't think it matters front or rear drive well. I would not mount on the rudder as the speed of the AI or TI will outpace the motors to easily... you will want to pull the motor up. |
