Naming a boat is difficult. The ideal boat name should: 1) Try to be original (ie: Carpe Diem MXVII, doesn't cut it, imo) 2) The name should portray a sense of the personality of the owner. 3) Possibly a humorous play on words. 4) Hopefully not how much money was involved unless you suffer from Bad Hair and the 'D. Trump' syndrome.... 5) If all fails, the last place to find it is on the 'Net'... Have Fun! Here's a few I've played with and rejected: Yak-Yak-Yak Mista Bombastic III Triple Treat Minimal Mortgage Fred (NO, that's MY name, you can't use it!) ![]() |

Sorry Trinomite. I'm straying from your instructions regarding "haven't used yet." I recently bought a new TI of the Red Hibiscus color. The name I gave it isn't particularly original. But, being half Latino and speaking Spanish well, I have named it, "El Rojo". The Red One. Euro kayaker I noticed you are from the Netherlands. Do you use the canals mostly or are you one of those 'crazy guys' who actually does the North Sea. I'm sure most of us here would love to hear where you sail. pedal, etc in that magic area known as the 'Low Countries'. Photos would also be very cool. If we can impose on you. Thanks Fred |

Hey Fred, I'm actually from the good old USA, but i have been living in the Netherlands for a few years now . You sound like you have been to the NL? we do most of our fishing on the Oosterschelde and in the canals. My Hobie Dealer has a TI for demo...We take her into the North Sea! thats exciting...sitting out on the tramps just flying! have not really gotten into the videos and pictures yet, but after seeing all these great videos/pics on the forums. I think i'll have to follow along. I also noticed your HDR thread...maybe its better I jump over there, but what type of camera do you need for that? just a simple digital or will you use a SLR? greetings, Zach |

Hi Zach I'm german born, but lived in Canada since I was a kid. In 1975 we did the Grand Tour of Europe from Norway right down to Hungary. We spent great times in Amsterdam and Arnhem. To get into HDR Imaging, you'll need a high quality 35mm (digital), a solid tripod and a program called Photomatix Pro. Please keep in mind, the type of images that seem to give the best results are still photos. Fred |
