Hey Living Waters Very cool and simple ways to attach a Scotty Mount on your Akas. Well dun. May I ask what you are going to hang off of it?  Take a real close look at how the Akas are put together (and how they are connected into the crossbars. I'd probably be careful of anything that can add any twisting motion to the Akas (like rodholders under load), You may find that you could jam up your Aka crossbar release pins as a result of loads that the Akas were not really designed for. . However, for something like a lightweight camera mount....No bubbles, no troubles.  Trinomite |
