Help please I'm trying to find a means to attach 2 scotty rail mount to the rear akas on a 2011 AI. The present fittings Scotty offers are maximum 1.25" rail diameter . The Akas are 1.5". The intent is to mount two Spirit Sails (downwind) on the middle of the rear Akas. http://www.spiritsails.com/products-page/?category=2 The sails are designed to use a Scotty fitting (either deck or rail mounts) Any help would be much appreciated. Mista Watta Mon Waaaaaaay, too funny for this Mon. (great idea though. I need some serious torque on this as it's the mount for a downwind, sail times two. It's a great idea and really well implemented) It's also a LOT less expensive than making it work with a 4 bolt RAM mount, the neck for 1.5" balls and a 2X6" base plate (plus machining costs). Rubber Mon, it's de wave of de Future! ![]() Best to you in Texas Trinomite |
