My boat came from Hobie with no documentation (http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=38359&start=0), so no idea what this is. It was hanging off a padeye near the stern. If it were a little bigger, it might be a flag for being too long for the trailer. Hobie closed early Friday, so I wasn't able to ask them these questions.

That it to secure the rudder in the up position during transport. Edit: Slip the red strap over the rudder and connect the hook to the padeye where the rear T-handle is. |

Oh, thanks, now I remember seeing one in the upright position with that strap on it. |
