Don't laugh, but did you know that wsithout a rudder, you can most easily paddle a TI backwards? Try and be surprised! |

Weird eh... |

I've peddled backwards a few times and on the last trip to Tasmania, that little trick of quickly turning the mirage drive around, saved some damage to the hull for sure. |

Try putting one Mirage drive in backwards on a TI. That's what my wife and I did a few weeks ago. When we pushed off from the dock, we went nowhere fast, with both of us pedaling furiously. Doh! |

I was onc racing my old yacht when a gust of 55 knots arrived (some gust!). The airborne spray was so vicious (and painful!) that the only way I could steer was by looking backwards, keeping the wake straight. Luckily one of the other crew warned me in time before we sailed into the broken mast of our competitor! |
