We looked at buying used but the lack of availability and just plain not wanting to wait has made us change our mind and buy new. I'm calling my two local hobie dealers now to see who wants to make a deal on an 2013 with a cart and a few other accessories. Man I'm excited. I've got all kinds of little trips planned. We are big into shelling some I'm really looking forward to checking out the island that can only be got to via boat. Hopefully I'll get a chance to use it and post some pics here this weekend. |

Happy adventures, Dom. Invest in a good anchor. We'll see you in next year's Everglades Challenge. |

Domromer: You couldn't live in a better area for a TI. You can reach 95% of the waterways with the TI. Don't forget it's probably one of the best and fastest kayaks on the market as well. Great for Santa Fe or crystal rivers and pretty much any of the springs. A lot of AI/TI's go down to ft desoto and Egmont key ( most of us launch at the public boat launch, unless we are camping, then we just launch from the campsite. We are a little south in sarasota and mostly stay around sarasota bay and ft desoto areas, but have been as far north as midiera beach and have gone to treasure island a few times. We belong to the watertribe and the Hobie island club, they both are fun bunches of like people and get together often. You will have fun Bob |

As for accessories I planned on keeping it pretty basic. The heavy duty cart, the cradle for the cart, and a bed extender for my truck. I was going to make my own anchor. Is there anything else you'd recommend. |

I grew up on the right coast so I've been to most of them in and around the Ocala national forest. Once I get the boat in going to check out the springs on the Suwannee and the panhandle springs. |
