I made this spray skirt using a plastic netting it's use around here to make oyster cage this material is strong and pliable and will to some point keep it shape. I cutted two pieces in a triangular shape one for each sides everything is hold together by using. black plastic ties (no sowing required) I also cover the top with a black mesh screen to stop any spray and two lines that hook on the amas handles. To set up it only take a few seconds and when finish just onhook and fold them onto the deck and secure with a Velcro strap. It work great I have been out in 20 knots and had the bow submarine a few times. Anyway just another option .
Happy sailing

Good thinking Dan.
Nice to see an alternative coming out of Canada.

What is the white bag on top of the front hatch?

Unfortunately that design does nothing to prevent the huge interference between the bow wave and the aka knuckle.

The white bag you see is actually A jib it's work great in light and moderate wind. Tony what do you mean by interference with the bow and Akas ? The way of the set up allowed for all lines to work. That material is strong enough to store my anchor and paddles on the front deck.

I should add (not showing on the photos) at the front of the akas facing toward the seat the skirt come down below the Akas to prevent any spray back. So far this has keep me nice and dry simple design easy to set up . Without a skirt these boats can give you quite a wet ride . But it's all part of the fun.
