I was told that they will be here in December by Sunsate Hobie I hope I'm not being lied to! If I have wait any longer than late December I'll get my deposit back and by a tinnie, I certainly wont wait until Febuary, I had a 5 month wait in the UK that was only supposed to be 3 months |

I believe we have been quoting December first availability... December in Australia is overly optimistic I believe. Transport alone is lengthy. The boat is not yet in production. |

I assume that Hobie would prioritise shipping into markets where the sailing season is in full swing as opposed to markets shutting down for winter... |

I would never buy a tinnie again, too much fun on an AI, also cheaper to run. I also couldn't take my tinnie out 15km safely, the AI just opens so many options, especially offshore. I'd never be enticed into another vessel, it's either AI or nothing. Been without my AI for a month and a bit now, yes, getting withdrawals. I just sold my V1 cradles and am setting up the trailer to accept the new ones. I've been keeping busy, planning trips of places I havn't fished yet, so much coast line to explore. Well worth the wait me thinks. Roll on Janurary/Feburary/March? |

Hi Matt im not having a pop mate but it would be great if the US and Aus could keep on the same track, communication seems to be lacking, I was told in late August by my local dealer that the new AI will be available here in late December, I'll wait for he new model. However if given a proper time schedule it will at least allow us here in Aus to prepare for our summer season, when you get to a certain age time becomes precious, I dont want to loose an entire summer.. ![]() |

Certainly understand! The quote in August of "Late December" is not that far off. Transit to Australia is about 5 weeks. Production was hoped for late fall at that time. If I had more information I would pass it on. |

Quote: If I have wait any longer than late December I'll get my deposit back and by a tinnie, I certainly wont wait until Febuary, I had a 5 month wait in the UK that was only supposed to be 3 months Wow, you'd be regretting that in no time. Its a (censored) that we're all going to lose most of summer to waiting for the new AI, but once it lands we'll swiftly forget about the fact we had to wait. Admittedly, easier for me to swallow the waiting period because I already have a current one and well, I love it to death. But yeah, I know I'm going to love the new one even more! |

![]() Inconvenience is now more of a globally accepted word that is used to express displeasure with a situation. IE: (Its an inconvenience that we're all going to lose most of summer to waiting for the new AI ) The bottom line is that surfers, kayakers, and sailors have no shame in what they enjoy as it is usually done on a Sunday. ![]() |

Spacing is the same for that very reason. |

Cool, I'm guessing the new ones are similar to the TI cradles due to the longer amas. I just need to install a longer front cross bar to accommodate the new front cradle, which is good, cause I reckon I've got at least 4 months to do it. |
