It may be too late but it's worth a try? If you want the handles to remain on the TI please reply so Hobie can get some feedback. You must agree to never mentioning the water funnelling issue ever again and be prepared to put up with a minor bit of splashing. Those that want the handles gone can just unscrew them. |

Already removed from the mold I'm told. |

KEEP THE HANDLES! Here in NZ with a 25 to 30 knot breeze and sailing in a wind against tide conditions it's like someone is chucking buckets of water at you every time the bow catches the top of a wave. Need the handles to have something to hang onto. |

I'll be adding my own handles to my 2015 TI...I figure some of my mods may change the weight distribution of the boat, so I'd rather do it myself anyway. |

Matt, at least make sure there is enough material thickness to add handles as an extra. Should be an indent where to drill the holes for the screws. Maybe keep both camps happy this way. I wouldn't like to be without the option. |

Is there a picture somewhere of the "old" TI handles? How did you use them? I plan to get a new TI next year (if they ever come out with it.. ![]() |

THANKS!!!! Now I would be upset if they removed the cup holder ![]() The AI has some molded hand holds that I use when Im hand carrying just the hull around but I only plan to use the TI with a trailer. Im keeping the AI.. it will become car top only. |

We appreciate the feedback as always, but the handles are no longer going to be part of the TI. (The mold has been reworked already) The positives far outweighed the negatives. On another note - I sailed the all new AI yesterday, wow, what a boat....it's like an dream to sail. Much better upwind performance (larger centerboard) with more sail area and larger amas the AI is my favorite Hobie Product. I'm going to have to get one! |

The rails are always thick, so should be no problem. |
