I won't drive the boat up onto the beach. Instead, I'll get near it and stop and jump off and raise the bow and set it down on the beach to prevent scratches on the bottom of the main hull. I may even put out a blanket on the beach and set the boat on it, rather than sand, for the same reason. I'll put some protective padding between the Amas and the main hull to prevent chaff. I won't lash down the Amas with the main hull for the same reason. I'll lash those down separately. ~John |

John, that may be a good time to scrape the bottom with an old creditcard, and use a heatgun to melt the surface scratches/gouges. Or to remove and clean off the Duct tape strips you ran along the hull bottom, at the start of the season. |
