does anyone know of an alternative to the four mesh pockets on the island? I have 4 and 3 are shot |

Austin Kayak carries a rubber replacement for the mesh if you still have the frame. They are only $10 and are standard on the Pro Angler but can be put on any Hobie according to the ACK description. -Chris |

While you're at it, the Plano 3500 Waterproof Guide Series Boxes fit perfectly in the pockets. No more rusty hooks! |

I hope the pocket problem has been rectified on the new 2015 models? On my previous AI the pockets disintegrated in 2 weeks! |

Maybe the elastic across the top? Not been an issue for many years. The "Hookless" rubber pockets are #78561001 |

My only issues with the standard mesh pockets is they fade quickly in the intense key west sun, but i have not had any structural issues with mine, but then again i dont fish. Bob |
