This might be a stupid question but...Can anyone tell me what this extra hole is in the cargo area of my TI? I didn't notice it until the other day. I can definitely look down into the hull, but I don't remember having a plug or anything for it. ![]() |

That also had me scratching my head this weekend. It goes into the Lowrance ready compartment and is not open to the hull from what I can see. I guess the Lowrance transducer cable comes up that shaft then into the rubber fitting right next to it, through the hull then out to the display mounting point. Either that or there's a hole in the hull ![]() Chris |

Yes, that is the hole that your transducer wires come up from the Lowrance ready mount. |

The Lowrance Ready system uses that scupper - it's all in the manual, if you didn't get a copy here's the online version (ref pages 32-34): http://static.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/897005-tandem-island-manual-141204.pdf |

Thanks! I did get a copy of the manual from the dealer. Seeing as how I don't fish though, I didn't pay attention to the Lowrance stuff. ![]() |

My stupid question: My mast socket has water in it just up to the level of the top of the pin in the center. I'm assuming it got in there during my first outing a couple of weeks ago when the conditions were pretty rough. Do you make a point of rolling the hull over and dumping it out or just leave it there ? I suppose I could put a sponge on a stick or suck it out with the shop vac if I need to. Thanks Chris |

Thanks Chris I don't like the idea of standing seawater, so I flush it copiously when I'm hosing the boat down then use a hand pump which gets most of it out. Always have a little left because of the pin at the base, but I accept that since it is no longer salty. |
