Hi all - new to this forum and hailing from Central Oregon where Spring has finally sprung.

Ordered a new 2015 Tandem Island last week with trailer and trampolines (plus a few other goodies), but will be waiting until July to take delivery (hurry up Hobie!!).

Any "must have" accessories or gear for Day 1? Anything Hobie leaves off that I'll be wanting?
Any recommendations on a dry suit? Want to extend my season here in PacNW. The Kokatat stuff seems popular but has an overwhelming selection on their site. What do you all like? Other brands?
Any "must read" posts, blogs, sites, etc to get up to speed?

Thanks for any and all guidance...

~Bird

Congrats! A couple of items to consider (some obvious):

--Life jacket(s)
--Whistle or air horn
--Safety knife (sailing knife, pocket knife, etc.)
--Sailing gloves (mainly for right hand)
--Carabiner clips
--Bungees
--Cargo Straps
--Dry storage for phone/keys
--Anchor line/anchor
--Leashes (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MXJ ... UTF8&psc=1)

Enjoy!

Most of the guys i fish with on yaks in the ocean down here in Norcal use Kokatat paddling suits. They have a neoprene neck gasket rather than a latex one, so aren't completely waterproof, but close enough.

The angler versions are nice as they have heavier lower legs so they are a little more durable.

Can't say enough good things about Kokatat- they really stand by their products, and have great CS

I have to agree my Kokatat makes winter sailing comfortable, I called the factory and they even made a suit with size 13 feet as the size 12 was a tad small for me and you need some extra sock area to make wearing footwear comfortable.
(You should never walk about on the fabric soles of your Kokatat suit, and BTW get the one with the "Nether zipper".)
Have fun being warm while sailing.
