Has anybody tried a Tandem Island mast/sail on an Adventure Island? Given a light-to-moderate air venue, the roller-reefing feature, and the negligible weight of 18" more carbon fiber it would seem like a no-brainer. What am I missing? |

Um, the extra length of the TI sail would I think need thre turning block to be well behind the AI rudder in order to maintain the correct shape for efficiency. |

As Tony said you do need to relocate the mainsheet block padeye aft. Probably not ideal close hauled but on all other points of sail it works well. ![]() More info here: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=42630 |
