Is anybody carrying one or more passengers on an AI-1 or and AI-2? If so, your weight? Their weight? |

Pete, I had an AI-1 with tramps. I weigh 165, and carried passengers on the tramps from 100-200 lbs. They'll get wet (ie sitting in the water), but it's doable. |

I had six people on my TI last weekend. 400ish lbs. in the main hull and probably 150-200 lbs. on each tramp. Hobie way underestimates what the carrying capacity of our boats is. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk |

Yea the TI is definately the family fun boat to get. We used to do a lot of Canoeing when I was young, and when my kids were young. Sure wish we had something like the TI back then. Back then it was either canoes or row boats, I don't ever recall seeing a kayak till much later. FE |

Thanks - that's what I was hoping to hear. Not that I intend to do it on any sort of regular basis.... but if somebody says "Can I have a ride?".... or if some SUP paddler or windsurfer is in trouble... |

I've had an extra guy on the back of my AI 2014, motor & all, fishing. The only problem is that the rudder tubes will be under water and you will take in water over time, need to bail every 2-3 hours. Good time on a calm day though, we have had two Dorado's hooked up and bringing them in at the same time. The TI obviously is the better solution for additional passengers. |
