If it seems adequate, I will move on to figuring out how to keep them in place.... |

That looks good. Spreads load over a wide area at each contact point. Adding carpet or padding? |

Got plenty of both on hand, and a newly-opened tube of construction adhesive..... but I am trying to figure out whether it will make it any easier on the hull or just make me feel better.I will probably go with whatever you say. |

Less scratchy... simply a cosmetic issue. I would use pads. |
