Was watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4X1Z_x2mrw where MechanicMike69 noted that the carrying toggles on his older TI had the fatal flaw of not being stainless steel inside - and, consequently, eventually failed under load due to corrosion.

Has this been remedied in 2015?

Or should I go Mike's route with the PVC replacements ?

Should have been corrected. Short period of time. Warranty will replace if it is a problem.

Does this look normal for about 1 year's use: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP ... JaRW5TYzBR

I could care less about warranty replacement..... it's the broken foot I'm thinking about if/when it lets go during a lift.

Contact a dealer and file a warranty claim. Rust may not indicate an imminent failure, but better safe than sorry.

How many years does warranty cover something like that?

The warranty is 2 years, but if simply built wrong... we can extend longer.
