Post subject:  Looking for solution to thread fraying on the TI sail

I'm getting a lot of threads fraying off of the sail of my 2015 TI. Long threads fray off of the bottom of the sail just above the stitch line and then hang down below it which mars the view. This is more annoying than damaging but someone must have a solution for it by now. I've tried simply to cut them off but they keep coming back. Eventually this may even cause some real damage.

Is there any type of product which can be applied to stop the sail material from fraying?

Place sail on a flat surface. Drop of superglue where thread exits sail, allow to harden, then cut off excess thread.

For fabric they make a product called FreyCheck, waterproof, available at even Walmart that I use on my sails. Recommended by my wife the quilter.

I use the odd loose sail tread as an impromptu tell tale for wind direction, and sort of like having a few about, as long as it doesn't become an issue...

I did my entire sail with Fray Check this weekend. The only place I really had a fraying problem was one side of the bottom edge or foot and it was only fraying on one side but I decided to do the whole sail anyway.
It took almost two bottles to do all of the cut edges on both sides of the sail. I cleaned my garage floor and laid the sail out then used a knee pad to move along the floor. I found it helpful to draw the bottle towards me along the seam. The liquid is pretty thin, wicks easily into the material and dries quickly. It took a couple of hours to do the whole sail and I was glad I used the knee pad by the time I was finished.

When I was almost finished my wife the sewing\weaving expert came out and informed me that the zig-zag pattern the sail was sewn with made it entirely unnecessary to do what I was doing.
