Hi All - I have been watching a ton of tandem island you tube videos and decided it's about time to buy one! The local dealer has a 2015 TI in Stock in the color I'm looking for. Does anyone know if there have been changes between the 2015 and 2016 TI model years. My thought is if I'm buying a new one I want the most up to date improvements. Thanks! |

If the prize is the same, I would get the 2016. You'll get better resale when you decide to upgrade in the future. |

They only have the 2015 in. Do you know if the boat is the same from 2015 to be 2016? |

everything is the same except the seat retention buckle. the 2016 style is available at your dealer free of charge (I got them for my outback and my TI from my dealer) |

I waited to get the 2015 over the 2014 and the only regret is that I "lost" 5 months of TI fun. I do not think there is enough difference to justify the wait if they have the color you want and the 2015 pricing is still on their unit. The big change came 14/15. If the price is the same and you want another color than hold out as this will be a boat you'll enjoy for a long time to come but there was a price increase. As said, the seat clip will be replaced free of charge and other than that I believe they are identical. I did ask for and receive the safety clip for both seats and have installed them. It takes about 5 mins total. Enjoy you TI as soon as you are able to get what you want. |
