Hi All I just received my new 2016 TI yesterday and spent today checking it out. I found a very small steel lock nut with nylon insert in the bottom of the boat. Its the same size as those used to trap the steering chords on the rudder. I cant see if its come loose from somewhere inside the boat. Any thoughts as to where it came from inside??? Should I be worried or happy to add it to my spares box? Many thanks Pottsy |

They seem to drop something into almost every boat I've helped setup. It shouldn't be a problem. With that said I would check every nut/bolt and screw for tightness. Every boat I've help setup had something loose, maybe from transport. Enjoy your new boat! |

My first thought is that it could have come off the set screw that holds the mast receiver cup to the bottom of the hull. There should be a 1/4" nylon lock nut there. Like KayakingBob suggests I would definitely check the tightness of all bolts and screws and even use loc tight, if it's not on there already, on anything that is loose. |

Thanks all. I checked everything inside and out. All appears to be ok. I have it in my spares box now. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |
