Post subject: | Summer Storage |
I'm thinking about buying a T-I for use on a fresh water lake, and am wondering about storing the boat during the summer between regular uses. Can I leave ir in the water (warranty?) or is it better to beach it? If I beach it do I need to turn it upside down? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Definitely not moored in water - here's a copy of the owner's manual online that has all the info about storage and transport: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.hobiecat.com%2Fdigital_assets%2F897005-tandem-island-manual-150701.pdf |

I have a home on a northern lake. IMHO, purchase a jetski hoist or a hoist used for sunfish. Then purchase the Hobie trailer cover. I've kept mine spotless on a jet ski hoist for the months of July and August for a few years. Sail NOT on boat. A used jet ski hoist should cost you about 200 bones |

Could someone please explain why it is not a good idea to dock the boat in fresh water during the summer? Thanks |
