Hi There wanted to get myself the spinnaker and use it on my 2013 AI model. Is it advisable to be use on the 2013 AI model and 2012 AI model ? Anyone in this forum using a 2012 and 2013 AI model on Spinnaker? Need your expertise and advice before i getr the spinnaker. |

I have used it on both a 2012 AI and a 2016 AI. I works fine on either. The 2012 AI has akas the angle downward ever so slightly. This means that the snuffing bag sits a bit close to the water if you put it in close to the hull. That's not a great problem but the bag tends to fill with water and drag in the water when sailing it in high winds, with the bag on the leeward side and without tramps. This can be mitigated by securing the bags straps with zip ties and using the hooked bungee in the cockpit or just use tramps.. I love the spinnaker and would get it with an 2012 or 2013 AI. |
