I have a TAI, and the front adjustment rod to lower /heighten the front of the seats are frozen and will not move. The slide part that disingages the lock is frozen and will not slide to release the gears. And advice? |

I guess you allready tried a fair amount of WD40 or some other lube ?? On my brand new TI I already noticed some corrosion on the grub screw for the roller bar for ghe Vangage CT seat. There might be other components that arent marine grade stainless steel or corrosion of the aluminium parts that siezes up? I am also intrested to hear if others had the same problem as Coyote... and how to prevent this. All the best!! /Gustav |

Coyote Both mine stuck on my 2016 TI. A good soaking in WD40 and a little gentle persuasion released both mine. Keep trying to release it rather than dismantle. I think it will ease up snd release. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

Coyote, I replied on your other thread that I had the same problem on my TI caused by a broken spring and Hobie are replacing the entire rod as a warranty issue. Cheers John |

I guess it might be worth the effort to rinse well with freshwater after every ride and be very generous with WD40 and use the mechanism often. I mostly leave mine in the highest position and seldom lower it. Regular adjustment might prevent it from siezing up. |

Talked to Hobie, there solution is to wd40 the slide and if that does not work cut it in half with a hacksaw and buy new ones. You think they could do better than that, what a bunch off crap. |

I'm trying to get some understanding of Hobie's response which just doesn't seem to be the norm and was certainly nothing like the response I got from my dealer with a similar problem. Cheers, John |
