Post subject:  Pricing Information

I am looking at buying a used 2018 Tandem Island with tramps. The buyer told me he bought it new last summer for $6500. I have seen ads for new 2018's going for $8900. Can anyone tell me what a 2018 Tandem Island sold for new last summer? Was the 2018 even available last summer, or did it not come out until the fall? Are there more than one type of Tandem Island that would explain the difference in prices? Any information would be appreciated.

The current US price for a new Tandem Island is about $6900. The only hull options are the color which does not affect the price.

I assume "current US price" means for a 2019. Do you have any idea what a 2018 sold for last summer?

list price went up $100 from last year

maybe the $8900 included accessories and a trailer?

If the new price is $6,900, a used 2018 model cannot possibly command more than $6,000, and in my opinion, the seller would need to go a fair bit lower, as you could probably get items from a dealer bundled on a new one (eg tramps, discount on spinnaker kit, cradles/trolley, buoyancy vests, fish-finder, ground-tackle, safety gear, etc).

Buying a near-new TI doesn't look like such a good deal.....

I would have thought that bringing international attention to USA's embarrassng ongoing political disaster is a huge error...
