I need new bungees for my TI ama / aka’s and was wondering why use bungees vs mounting them fixed? It seems like it would be fairly easy to permanently mount these then they wouldn’t want to pop off while reboarding after going for a swim. Also, my TI is a 2012 and looking at the new bungees they come with 2 bungees vs 1. Only one of my bars on each side has 2 points to attach the bungees. What do you do with the extra bungee on the one that only has one point to attach? Any other recommendations on replacing these? Thanks in advance. |

In the forum u will find several posts on this subject. U could buy the bouble bungee part and a pin to add in the ama where u have only one or you could try other suggested methods of doubling the bungee |

I've done what Matt suggested above in terms of adding a second mounting point where there wasn't one on my older TI, but instead of buying the standard double-bungee plugs, I opted to buy the bungs with the loops, and tie a loop of bungie through those. Not as pretty, but it ensures that both runs of the bungie are equally tensioned, and also makes repair/adjustment while out on the water easier. I can post some pics up if I can work out how... |
