I am a new Hobie owner who will be taking delivery of a 2012 Island.
I own a boat slip and plan to store is there most of the time. Storing it in a kayak rack for winter. Kayak rack is about 200 yards uphill.

Any advice on how to enter/leave the HI from a boat slip ?
I currently use a chain, attached to a cleat, to get on / off a kayak I have there.

Is it easy to attach and remove the out riggers while the HI is in the water ?

Appreciate your thoughts.

I would just fold the Amas in and secure them. That way the hull is next to the dock and easy to get in and out of. Use boat bumpers to protect the boat. Tie up at the bow and stern and you should be OK.
