I've got black rub marks on the amas and main hull where they make contact when trailering. I put a pad in between now, but the damage has been done. Any tips on cleaning these marks off? Tried searching, but I'm not finding anything.

Thanks.

I have some fairly aggressive abrasion marks on mine too. I’ve been planning to try some rubbing compound to see if that will smooth it out. Maybe some fine sandpaper 1000 or even steel wool…..I don’t know but post up a solution if you find one.

Tip given to me by the awesome owner of my local Hobie outlet (Sunstate Hobie).

Razer blade held perpendicular to the surface, scrape to remove surface that contains the scratches/marks.

You lose some material this way, but other methods (polish, sandpaper, steel wool), will "mush" the stained material into the rest.

Once scraped as above, you can then polish if you want to.

I've done this on one of mine to see if it worked, and it came up beautifully with very minimal effort. I then figured I didn't care terribly much about the marks, and left the rest as they were!
