I need to replace the sail on my 10 year old Tandem Island. I have been offered an excellent price on a new sail but it is Smoke (Red) to go on my Seabreeze (Yellow) Hull. I curious of peoples opinions, order a new Seabreeze Yellow sail or take the special deal on the Red Smoke. Would it effect resale value? Not that I'm selling - I'm currently giving it a 10 year birthday to keep it another 10 years. See below to the Red Smoke sail. https://img.dtcn.com/image/themanual/ho ... 00x449.jpg |

To me, it would not look great. But I guess it depends on how great a deal on the red sail you're getting. Here's a thought: perhaps someone with a year or two old red TI would give you their red/orange/yellow sail in exchange for the brand new smoke red. The smoke red would look fine on the red boat and the red/orange/yellow would not look bad on your yellow boat. (I would do that deal, but I'm in the US. Shipping would be prohibitive.) |
