I have a 2016 AI i have done research. Most of what I've found is for TI motor mounts and some of the threads have pictures that won't load. Anyways I'm wanting to mount an outboard on my ai. From what I've gathered a suzuki shortshaf 2.5 is one of the better options for power. Now I'm looking into what hardware I need to make a mount. I primarily use my AI for fishing of the washington and oregon coast. Please show me what you guys have made and any input is welcome. |

Why not an island hopper? Much lighter and quieter and designed to install right into the mirage drive well. Thinking about getting one myself. https://www.islandhopperoutboards.com/r ... Looks like someone beat me to it. I was just in Washington.... Olympic National Park.... Ruby beach (Pacific) - loved it. This is what I built for my outboard mount. The mount has worked great over 7 years and on three different Hobie TIs. Use the motor mount just about every month.... hope to be back in the Atlantic Ocean in a few days.... |
