Post subject:  Water collecting in the mast support area
Stored outside year-round, usually under a tarp, my TI seems to collect water in the mast support area in spite of my best efforts (heavy rain, snow) and I'm worried about ice expansion. Would putting antifreeze in the mast hole for storage over the winter cause any problems with the hull material? Any better solutions?

Store your ti upside-down
(No places where water or durt can collect)

What kind of tarps are you using? I suggest any poly tarps like these https://www.tarpsnow.com/poly-tarps.html for protection from snow and rain specifically.

I would add that more than water can collect in there... I recently had a sweetgum pod get jammed in the bottom. I couldn't figure out why the mast would not lock down, so I poured some water in there hoping whatever it was would float to the top, I got a lot of leaves but still felt something down there at the bottom. Grabbed my bilge and got the water out, found a flashlight and identified the culprit, then it took about 15 minutes of flailing around until I was finally able to impale it on the end of a sharp knife and pull it out!

While it won't keep all the water out, a pool noodle or some other sort of foam to fill the space would keep most of it out. Granted I live in Kauai so freezing isn't an issue, but I'd imagine it would resolve that concern as ice expansion would push into the foam before it broke anything.
