Post subject:  Whats new for the 2008 Adventure Island models?
Well I just put a deposit on a 2008 AI from Valley Isle Marine on Maui and yes this is #2, it gets lonely out there in the Molokai Channel. I was curious as to what to expect from the 2008. Will it come with the balanced rudder, Turbo fins and the Harken Fairlead? Does anyone know of any additional changes and will the 2008 come with the above upgrades?

We have a late '07 and an early '08 (they were both produced in the same month :roll: ). Both boats came with all the upgrades including the balanced rudder. We had to add the wire fairleads but others that got later boats said their's came from the factory with them.

Also: Both of our boats came with the standard fins. We purchaced the turbo fins separately.

I just picked up an 08. It had fairleads (plastic), paddle stowage, mast base upgrade, balanced rudder upgrade, mast retaining clip upgrade, locking clips for support bars when folded back.

The only thing I didn't get was the new rudder up/down line kit. Hoping to get it soon through the dealer.
