Hi there, Can someone please help with some information, I am based in England and looking to purchase a used adventure, and need to know what how do you tell the age of manufacture of the hull and are there any things I should be looking out for? Regards Kevin |

Hi Matt Some more help please, I have been offered two adventure islands and ask if you can confirm the serial numbers are correct. Red hull USHCCRO817t011 Yellow hull USHCCRO555H011 Is there any thing on these I would need to check before buying. Regards Kevin |

HCCR0817I011 (HCCR "0 or ZERO" not Letter "O") (I not T) HCCR0555H011 (HCCR "0 or ZERO" not Letter "O") Both valid numbers sold to Hobie Kayak Europe. Check that all of the parts are there. Inspecting for wear should be straight forward. What looks good is likely good. |

Do a low pressure leak test with soapy water spray bottle. Lots of threads on the forum depicting this. Look for leaks in the plastic, below the waterline especially. The steering line ports and various hatches can leak slightly. |
