| Post subject: | WaterTribe OkumeFest Challenge--2014 Started today |
The WaterTribe 2014 OkumeFest Challenge started today at 7 am. It is a 210 mile starting across from Annapolis, MD, at Matapeake State Park on the Chesapeake Bay. It has an approximate 5-day time limit. There are only 9 challengers, including 2 Tandem Islands, one piloted by Royd Whedon and the other by the team of Michael Prince and friend "Swampthing". Both boats have cleared the first checkpoint and are heading south to the 2nd at Janes State Park. From there they return up the Bay to the Finish at Matapeake State Park. Nancy and I happen to be in the area this next week and hope to meet our friend Royd and maybe others at the finish.
