Post subject:  Scupper Cart that converts to Dolly Cart
Based on a Trax2 scupper cart this mod converts the Trax to a dolly cart to make retrieval easier.

Two stainless 25mm handrail tee’s (with a hole drilled for the axle) are fitted to each support leg.

A short length of 25mm tube is fitted to the tee.

The Hobie TI Cart Cradle has 50mm webbing, an over centre buckle and 6mm S hooks added that attach to the 50x25mm rectangular tube that has two 22mm tube legs to fit into the 25mm tube attached to the tee.

The 22mm legs that fit into the 25mm tube are locked in with R clips

An Adventure/AI fits as well (just). If travelling over very uneven ground then an extra strap may be needed to raise the scupper cart support legs so they don't catch on any obstacles.

I probably should have posted the earlier details of adding the extra wheels. It was done long before Hobie came out with the Dolly carts and Trax 2-30.
I like how compact it is compared to other sand carts.

I just pre-ordered a 2015 TI and purchased a pair of cradles to DIY a cart for it. Do you think it is necessary/beneficial to add the fore and aft tubing extending perpendicular to the cradle along the scupper hole groove when using the full size cradle as a cart ? Reading other posts I have the impression that it may help align the cart when pulling it under the boat with straps.
