HELP: Q: Does anyone know the center weight point of the TI (distance from kayak bow) when the amas are in the rear stowed position? I am building ceiling hoist stowage connector / aluminum trailer cradle combo before I get the 2015 TI and need to set the location of a 4'x4' ceiling hoist system which will connect to this cradle. |

I believe the balance point is close to the rear aka brace (just forward of it a few inches). I had a jib crane setup to put my TI on my car roof for a while, to lift the boat I ran a sling thru the front and back mirage slots, it seemed to balance well there (my TI at the time I think was a 2011 model, I doubt the balance point has changed). I have no idea how many inches from the bow that would be (you can probably get a pretty accurate number by measuring the picture on the hobie web site, now you know where it is on the boat). Thanks Bob, Ceiling hoist, Boat Pallet/Cradle, trailer modifications are nearly complete....all I need is the boat! |

EZ to figure out. Ask your dealer to roll one on a section of PVC pipe. Should be rigged the way you want it. Minus batteries and goodies stuffed in the hull. |
