I will be getting a PA 12 in a few months and am trying to figure how I want to store it. I have a garage with a 10' ceiling so I can hang it but Im not sure I like the idea of it hanging over my truck. My other idea is to build a small shed with a roof and locking door that is level with my tailgate. I could just back up and slide it off. What do you guys think?

Sure makes it nice to just drop it on the truck. As long as your roof structure can handle it. But hey... a boat cave?

Shed. Better yet, Shed plus trailer. I would not want my boat dripping (especially saltwater) on my vehicle after a sail.

If I do the shed will it get too hot inside in summer?

I keep my boat in a detached (no AC) garage in the Texas heat on a trailer with PVC bunks without issue.

Ambient heat is not an issue as long as it is supported correctly to prevent deformation. Direct sun/radiient UV is a bigger issue. Some insulating batts on a shed will make a surprising difference to stabalizing temp swings
