Could this trailer/dolly setup be made to work with a Tandem Island?

Yes, I saw that video--a fine implementation.

What I am wondering is if the specific trailer/dolly that Hobie lists in their catalog for the PA17 can readily be adjusted to fit a tandem island?

Thanks for your helpful post.

I just bought a new 2018 PA 17t with a trailer. I am looking for the rollers they used at the end of the trailer? I cant find where or if Hobie sells them. Anyone have any ideas?

Those come on the PA17 trailer from Trailex.

If you just want rollers, you can buy through a Trailex dealer: https://www.trailex.com/products/pc/Dealers.aspx

I didn't see an answer to itiming's question about using the PA17T trailer for a Tandem Island.

I too am interested in using the PA17T trailer for a Tandem Island. I saw the video for the custom trailer out of California that allows the Dolly to be mounted on the rear of the trailer and used for additional support. But then I found the PA17T trailer that has an optional Dolly Hanger Kit (72020405) already designed and available.

Both the PA17T and the TI weight about 240 lbs and the TI is about 18" longer so I'd think the PA17T trailer would be a great match for the TI. I like having three cradle supports (one being the TI Dolly) as I'd like to store the TI on the trailer. This would also solve the cracking rear cradle I've read about that some TI trailer owners are experiencing caused by the stress as the TI comes off the back of the trailer.

There may be a few adjustments needed for a TI but the Trailex trailers are great designs for adjustment. Anyone try using a PA17T trailer (38652202) with TI cradles and Dolly already?

Not compatible with the Tandem Island. Needs to be wider.
